Oshoala wins award for 6th time

  • Nnadozie is best goalkeeper in Africa
    In 1998, Jay-Jay Okocha lost the award to Mustapha Hadji because he didn’t play in AFCON. In 2004, Jay Jay played in AFCON and even ended up as AFCON highest goal scorer and best player in the tournament but still lost the award to an Eto’o who scored only one AFCON goal but more league goals than Okocha.
    By his emerging, he broke a 24 years jinx Mikel Obi was closed to breaking.
    For the award this year, Victor Osimhen beat top contender such as Achraf Hakimi(Morocco/PSG) and Mohamed Salah(Egypt/Liverpool FC).
    Oshoala Wins 6th Asisat African Female Footballer of the Year
    Asisat Oshoala won the African Female Footballer of the Year for the 6th time.
    @AsisatOshoala beat Thembi Kgatlana (South Africa, Racing Louisville) and Barbara Banda (Zambia, Shanghai Shengli) to win the award.
    Meanwhile, Chiamaka Nnadozie has also won the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award. 🧤
