The residents of Igbo-Olomu, Agric, Ikorodu can now heave a sigh of relief as two of the most wanted notorious cultists that have been terrorizing the area in recent times, have been apprehended via the combined efforts of the Owutu Police and the local vigilante(ONYABO). The cultists were apprehended at Igbo-Olomu on Monday 25th January, and have since been transferred to the anti-cult Unit at Gbagada for further investigation.
Two locally fabricated guns and a knife were found in their possession at the time of their arrest.
According to the Owutu Police Station Crime Officer, ASP Kunle Alasopupo, Owutu Area and Ikorodu in general is already witnessing a new dawn in Crime Combatting. He stressed the importance of Community vigilance as well and attributed the success of the recent anti-cultist operation to the diligence of vigilant citizens who want to live peaceful in a secure atmosphere.
In conclusion, he sounded a warning to all criminal elements within his jurisdiction, saying the time is up for criminality and cultism, and that the long arm of the law will catch with anyone or group of persons that threaten to shatter the peace and tranquil on his watch as Crime Officer of Owutu Police Station.
