🎙 Thomas Tuchel revealed at the press conference hours ago that he is not scared to win against the most successful club in Europe at the moment , Real Madrid C.F. in the first UCL Semi-Final match that will come up later today.

▪️Tuchel on injuries: “The update on injuries is short, it is only Mateo Kovacic we are missing. Everybody else is available and in the squad tomorrow.”

▪️Thomas Tuchel on facing Real Madrid: “It cannot be harder, they are the most experienced team in this competition. If you arrive in the semi-final, you arrive at the highest level in European football. But we arrive with full confidence and inner belief. I hope we can play adventurous and aggressive football. We will fight them hard.”

▪️Thomas Tuchel says he doesn’t have to convince the squad of confidence because #Chelsea are playing on highest level, or not let the opponent play at their best.

▪️Thomas Tuchel says #Chelsea shouldn’t be expected to do ‘crazy things’ against Real Madrid – wants the side to be hungry and adventurous.

▪️Thomas Tuchel trusts 100% in the referees and UEFA for tomorrow night against Real Madrid, to ‘whistle the best match possible and can’t imagine any advantage/disadvantage’ due to a political situation.

▪️Thomas Tuchel says #Chelsea #RealMadrid deserve to be in #UCL semi-finals, and don’t deserve to be thrown out due to a political situation.

▪️Thomas Tuchel says he is a ‘lucky’ guy and is grateful and thankful to those who gave him the experience to make him the coach he is today. He adds that it’s always felt natural to manage at the top level.

▪️Thomas Tuchel says he is not sure he likes the new #UCL format due to having more games which doesn’t translate to it having more quality: “I’m not happy with it at all. I can only see more games and it is hard for me to be excited at all. All these discussions about the #SuperLeague made us forget about the new format of the Champions League. Did they ask and coaches or players? I don’t think so.”

▪️Tuchel lists international UEFA Nations League and new FIFA Club World Cup as changes to the football calendar that are just meaning more and more matches.
