…Niger State Revenue Seals Bank for owing 22.4Million

GTBANK is in the news again for many scandals as you are reading this piece. There are reports that lots of frauds activities are going on inside this apex bank.

Nollywood star actress, Kemi Stone has accused GTBank of stealing half a million naira from her bank account.

She revealed “I wish God can just end Nigeria” that was the statement on the lips of a Nollywood Actress, Kemi Stone after a sum of N500,000 got stolen from her Guaranty Trust Bank account recently.

The Isara Remo Ogun State born diva, exclusively shared the below information with us after a Self-acclaimed staff of Guaranty Trust Bank allegedly placed a call to her to take her ATM card information.

According to her, “I am tired of Everything, sometimes, I wish God can just end Nigeria. Everything in it is corrupt and compromised.
I was @airtelnigeria Adeniran Ogunsanya branch, I told them how an airtel number scammed me if they could give me info about this line, They were not ready to help after I narrated what happened with cleared Evidence. I have accepted my fault of given my card information to the people i thought was Gtbank.

Now back to @Gtbank I know I have been scammed but providing me with evidence of the person that used N500, 000 from my account to buy something with P.O.S Should not take more than 24hrs please @gtbank please, I am begging you. if by tomorrow I didn’t get any info, you people will see Craze @gtbank

We will start from where your bricks almost broke my head but broke the windscreen of the car and you people are yet to fix it because that’s what got me into this mess. @gtbank I need the information as your comment section is full of scammers checking customers”, she said.

Having stated this, the actress we gathered tried all she could to get the necessary information about the transaction by speaking with the management staff of the bank with no solution. For almost three months now that the fraudulent transaction took over, nothing is being done to it by Guaranty Trust Bank.

The Bank representative who spoke with her claimed that the money was taken by a spotty pay company. The fraudulent transaction was promised to be investigated and till this moment, the actress said nothing is being done about it.

Meanwhile, there are several fraudulent related cases like this in the Bank which are yet to be resolved. The victims, who couldn’t hold back their grievances took to @Gtbank official page on Instagram to comment all sorts of unimaginable comments about the Bank.

Another scandal that rocked GTBank is that Niger State Internal Revenue Service has closed down 2 branches of Guaranty Trust Bank and eight other banks, three different organizations and the premises of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).

In a document obtained by The Guardian, the chairman of the board, Mohammed Madami Etsu, noted that the affected organizations were yet to pay their tax of up to N456 million. He justified the action saying: “The exercise was carried out in line with the provisions of the relevant tax laws.” It was learned that AEDC was sanctioned for a tax deficit of N45.8 million; GTB was charged for owing N14 million and N8.2 million respectively.

Findings added that Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, KSIRS sealed the head offices and other branches of four banks in Kaduna in August over N300.5 million unpaid taxes. KADIRS Executive Chairman, Zaid Abubakar, listed the debtors and Guaranty Trust Bank remains at the top Abubakar.

He said that the tax liability of Gtbank is N23.5 million.

Another customer located at Ogba complained that some money was stolen from his savings account. Yet, nothing has been done about the money even while the case was reported to the Police authority.

However, customers’ general perception about this Orange colour bank is that the newly appointed management chaired by Sola Oyinlola and others are not capable to protect the images of GTBank now Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO) , as many scandals will kill the bank soon.
