Nollywood A-list actress and Peoples Democratic Party’s deputy governorship candidate in Lagos State, Funke Akindele has been seen seeking spiritual help from Celestial Church over her ambition to run for PDP Lagos state deputy governor come 2023 general election.
Confirm News learnt she worshipped at a Celestial Church in Lagos where she was seeing in fervent prayers.
Akindele in her eponymous film, ‘Jenifa’ is a prolific filmmaker and actress who has featured in over 100 movies. She has successfully exploited the Jenifa franchise to create comedy series that is popular with TV audience in Nigeria.
She is expected to bring her popularity to help PDP win Lagos State in the coming general elections.
