Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria, has been reportedly willing to resign as Super Eagles Coach over unpaid salaries.
Peseiro was hired this year after the senior national team of Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup, and in his first two competitive matches in command of the team, he has already recorded two victories. But in the four exhibition games he has managed the team, he has lost three of them.
The coach is anticipated to be on the bench when they play his country Portugal in an international friendly game in November because the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations were postponed after the tournament.
However, if he chooses, he can quit his job because he has gone the required three months without compensation, which allows him to end his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). According to one of his representatives, he is not currently considering it as a possibility.
” We know by the law he can walk away and still get paid but it’s not an option for now but for how long I don’t know. There is even some confusion on who is responsible for his salary.
