The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has stated that nine persons died in a truck accident at Ojuelegba bridge on Sunday. The casualties are made up of five males (including a boy) and four females (including a girl).

LASEMA said that one of the victims was “extricated alive and taken to the trauma centre”.

According to a situation report by LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, the truck, which conveyed a 20-feet container, “was found to have landed on top of a commercial bus”.

LASEMA said that the bus was “picking up passengers when the truck lost control and fell over the side of the bridge”.

According to the report, “the agency’s heavy duty goliath and teams from Onipanu and Cappa are on ground. The agency’s Ambulance, LASG FIRE, FED FIRE, LASTMA and Nigeria Police have been working on this situation which is now concluded”.
