Tottenham and head coach Antonio Conte have parted company after 16 months at the helm for the coach. The Italian’s exit from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium comes over a week after his explosive post-match press conference outburst following the 3-3 draw at Southampton.
In an official statement released on Sunday, March 26, 2023, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed the sacking of the Italian Antonio Conte. This is the second time a premier league side would sack Conte following the poor run of form of the team under his management 16 months after taking over the Spurs side.
The statement released by Tottenham read:
We can announce that Head Coach Antonio Conte has left the Club by mutual agreement. We achieved Champions League qualification in Antonio’s first season at the Club. We thank Antonio for his contribution and wish him well for the future.
