Nigeria will not participate in the football event of the Paris, France 2024 Olympic Games after the U-23 Eagles were defeated by Guinea in Morocco on Tuesday.

Coach Salisu Yusuf side fell 2-0 in the second leg of their final qualifying fixture in Rabat, after the team drew 0-0 last Wednesday at the Moshood Abiola stadium, Abuja.

This will be the second Olympics that Nigeria will miss in eight years after they crashed out of the group stage of the 2019 U-23 AFCON, and missed out on qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
