Confirm News gathered that Lagos chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) said some persons are ganging up to wreak havoc on the state.
The alarm was raised on Thursday by the state publicity secretary of the party, Oluseye Oladejo, at a press briefing.
Oladejo further alleged that the plotters are meeting on Twitter, adding that their grouse is the outcomes of the polls in the state, and called on security agencies to be on the alert.
His remark; “May I alert the security agencies by calling their attention to meetings on Twitter space towards mobilising unsuspecting people for demonstrations aimed at destroying Lagos State; a replica of the #EndSARS saga.
“It is on record that there are 13,325 polling units in Lagos State and there were reports of disturbances in about 130 or one per cent of all the polling units.
“I think that is too infinitesimal for anyone to rely upon to say that the elections were not free and fair. In other words, under no circumstance can we say this has invalidated the credibility of the elections.”
There have been concerns in the state arising from the spate of fire incidents in markets populated by the Igbos in the build-up to the elections and post the polls, with the latest; the inferno that engulfed Igbo’s spare-part shops at Olowu in Ikeja on Thursday.
It is not out of place that fifth columnists are behind the incidents given the regularity in recent time.
