Singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as ‘Portable’ has been released from Ilaro Correctional Centre following the perfection of his bail conditions.

He was released at about 6pm yesterday 3rd April 2023 evening after his bail bond was presented at the Ilaro correctional center where the judge asked he is kept until his bail conditions are fulfilled.

Earlier yesterday, the singer was arraigned before the Ifo Magistrate court on three counts bordering on assault and theft of musical instruments. Delivering his ruling on the bail application made by his counsel, the presiding magistrate admitted the singer to bail on N300,000 with two sureties in the like sum in the case which bothered on stealing. In the other case, which bothered on assault, the court granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.

The court also ordered that the singer be remanded in the Ilaro correctional center until he fulfills his bail condition.

The case was however adjourned till the 26th of April for the commencement of trial.
