Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) should not bother to employ indegenous coaches for the Super Eagles, but rather go for the services of an expatriate for many years as possible, says Samson Maruwa Keshi, reports www.totorinews.com.

“I read what was published on www.totorinews.com and i fully support it. The truth is that, Nigerian coaches hate themselves, no love at all among ourselves. So, NFF should go for top expatriate coach,” Keshi said.

“He should be a top coach. Whenever a Nigerian is the head coach of Super Eagles, the same Nigerian coaches will gang- up against him, be working behind the scene to bring him down.

“It is not only in the Super Eagles. The same evil pattern is seen in Flying Eagles and other national teams. We don’t love ourselves at all.

“Look at Finidi, a very gentle man. Did he get support from his former teammates? No, of course. A prominent former Super Eagles player worked behind the scene for him not to be employed.

“When a Nigerian coach is in charge, most of the former internationals will not support him. Many Nigerian coaches will criticise him terribly. No support. It is therefore better that the NFF has settled for a foreign coach.

“I wish NFF can give Nigerians a renowned foreign coach. A coach with high degree in football, not a coach that will use the Super Eagles as his internship, because i don’t think the players will respect such a coach.

Keshi is a former Nigerian international, a former assistant coach of the Flying Eagles and presently, the coach of newly promoted Nasarawa United to the NPFL.
