William Troost-Ekong believes the Super Eagles deserved more than one point from their clash with Rwanda.
Augustine Eguavoen’s side were held to a 0-0 draw by the Amavubi in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday two encounter at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles dominated the but were let down by their poor marksmanship.
Troost-Ekong however praised his teammates for their performance in the keenly contested encounter.
‘I’m proud of the team, it’s always difficult to play away from home, not the best conditions, the pitch was not good enough,” Troost-Ekong said after the game.
”I think we put in a good performance, we created a lot of chances, we could have scored two,three four goals. I think we have to look at that objectively and say it was a positive.
