Lisabi Movie fame, Abdullateef Iladimeji has revealed his journey into acting world. He stressed that the journey was so stressful that even his mentor never believed he can be as successful as this within twinkle of an eye .
Lateef recounted that ‘ the man who trained me gave me one year to fail in the industry ‘ , he said.
Lateef added that ‘those who call his wife, Mo Bimpe barren are not God.
The filmmaker opened up on his pre-fame journey and marital life.
The talented actor, in an emotional sit-down with media , recalled how the man who trained him in the Yoruba movie industry told him that he would fail within one year.
The movie star stated that he replied to the man telling him to give him two years and he would see what he would become.
Lateef also spoke about how he proposed to his wife on the phone and how she gets trolled online and called barren.
Adedimeji also recounted how people who promised to support him when he began working on his project, Lisabi failed him. Luckily for him, his wife was by his side, and she helped boost his confidence.
Someone once told me in the Yoruba movie industry that he gave me one year to see what I would become. I told him to give me two years and he will see what I will become.
My wife and I have received a lot of trolls. Recently, someone called her barren on social media. She would always show it to me and would say they would be all right.
I just called her one morning and asked if she would marry me and she said Yes.
When I wanted to do my first big screen job, Lisabi, I realized that everybody that I felt would stand by me was not there; there was nobody”.
