Though, C E O YBNL, Olamide has not opened up on the main reasons Asake parted ways with YBNL. But Olamide associates and former manager to Asake has been talking tough on the crisis between Asake and YBNL.
Tunde Phoenix divulged that Asake is too greedy . He abruptly came up with lots of excuses late 2024. This made the team working with him very tired of him.
Tunde said : “ Because of he’s greedy and lazy intentions Asake made us to lost deals which was worth over $4 Million dollars 😳.
“ Asake did 11 shows in 2024 and when he was called to shutdown a particular show in November he declined the deal saying he’s tired 👀, this is coming from someone who chose to be famous and popular 😑.
“ This particular deal was a $400k dollars deal and he declined it, i will not mention name’s but the show organizers felt embarrassed and promised never to give him a platform to perform in their show again 🙆.
“ When Tony elumelu came with he’s deal for him to perform at he’s end of the years part with a well paid millions he said NO🤨.
“ Flytime festival 200Million Niara, lagos countdown, OandO oil end of the year party deal over $400k dollars plus many others which would have been over $4Million Dollars all in 2 months but he declined it all and ghost off”, Asake’s formal manager Tunde Phoenix said via IG on how Asake’s greed made him turn down lucrative December shows, cos he didn’t want to cut team members a percentage.
He added that when Empire Records showed up Asake a charming deal he turned he’s back on those who brought him this far.
