
It has been confirmed that the Lagos state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources heads by Tokunbo Wahab in authorization by Lagos State Government has ordered closed down of Mile 12 markets.
Information added that Lagos state government has sealed off 13 markets in the state including Ketu and Mile 12 markets for persistent violations including illegal waste disposal on roads, medians, and highways.
The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said the action of the traders is contrary to the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law of 2017.
