Former African Footballer cum Chelsea Legend, Didier Drogba has attacked Ademola Lookman club, Atalanta over poor treatment of the player on the request of transfer to other club.
Drogba stated that the disrespect towards Lookman was an insult to all Africans and called for action from CAF (Confederation of African Football) to protect African players. He also highlighted the ongoing disrespect towards Victor Osimhen at Napoli, urging for an end to such treatment.
Drogba’s protest stemmed from an incident where Atalanta’s coach allegedly insulted Lookman after a missed penalty, despite Lookman’s subsequent double-goal performance in the next match. Drogba emphasized that African players work hard and deserve respect, and that the abuse faced by Lookman and Osimhen is unacceptable. He called for CAF to intervene and restore the dignity of African players.
