19th August 2025, the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. (Barr.) Rosiji Oluyemisi, warmly received a delegation from the Lion Charity Club, a service-driven humanitarian organization committed to uplifting communities across Lagos through impactful initiatives.
The Lion Charity Club, known for its work in preventable blindness, pediatric cancer, diabetes awareness, hunger and disaster relief, and environmental sustainability, expressed their readiness to partner with Ojokoro LCDA in several key areas of development.
During the meeting, the Lions unveiled their immediate plans to:
- Construct sanitary toilet facilities in public schools within Ojokoro LCDA to improve hygiene and health standards.
- Launch a youth empowerment program on August 26th, which will include skill acquisition, small-scale business support, and farming initiatives.
- Distribute 1,000 free eye glasses and conduct free cataract surgeries for residents in need.

Hon. (Barr.) Rosiji Oluyemisi was formally inducted as a member of the Lion Charity Club and presented with the club’s official tag.
In her remarks, the Chairman expressed deep appreciation for the club’s efforts in promoting humanity and social welfare. “Your work,both globally and locally, is inspiring,” she noted. “I ran for office with a vision to do good for the people of Ojokoro, and I see that same mission reflected in your organization. I welcome this partnership wholeheartedly.”
She affirmed the council’s commitment to collaborating with the Lions on future projects and looked forward to building a strong relationship that delivers lasting impact to the community.
The visit ended with a group photograph, capturing the spirit of partnership and shared dedication to service.
