Princess Mulikat Fehintola Sanni has congratulated newly elected President Shippers’ Association Lagos State (SALS) Mr. Nicodemus Olorunshola Odolo.
Odolo who got nine votes to defeat his rival, Princess Mulikat Fehintola Sanni, who got two votes in the keenly contested election held at Shippers Council headquaters, Apapa, Lagos on Thursday 2nd October 2025 .
Mr. Nicodemus Olorunshola Odolo was very excited as new President. This is marking the beginning of a new leadership era for the body of cargo owners in Lagos.

Other executive members returned unopposed include Mrs. Ngozi Modebelu as Vice President; Mr. Ganni Alli Shobande as Secretary General; Mr. Wilson Osim as Financial Secretary; and Mr. Ike Nwagbo as Publicity Secretary.
The new executives were sworn in by Barr. Remigius Uche Odoh, with Pastor Jonah Amata serving as Electoral and Returning Officer.
Princess Mulikat Fehintola divulged that she needed to congratulate the new President because is not do or die.
” I felicitate with the newly elected President, Nicodemus Olorunshola Odolo and Executives. The election is not do or die. I wish him best of luck. I urge him to take everyone along. I am still committed for the progress of the association” , Princess said.
However, during his acceptance speech, Odolo described the outcome as a “collective victory,” pledging inclusive leadership and reforms to reposition SALS nationally and internationally. He promised to give shippers a stronger voice in maritime policy and to push for faster cargo clearance processes.
“This victory belongs to all of us. It is testimony to the power of unity and cooperation,” Odolo said, adding that his administration would work with industry stakeholders to achieve port release timelines of 12 to 48 hours.
