The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, extends his joyous greetings to all Christian faithful and residents of Lagos and Ogun States on the occasion of the Easter celebration.Easter, which represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion, symbolizing victory over death, sin, and the promise of eternal life. It marks the fulfillment of biblical prophecy and the triumph of light over darkness, offering hope and new beginnings to believers. It also serves as a reminder of the need for unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among citizens. The AIG enjoins the public to embody these virtues in their daily engagements for the common good of our society.While felicitating with the Christian community, the AIG assures the residents of Lagos and Ogun States adequate security arrangements put in place across the two States to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration. He has directed the Commissioners of Police in both States to intensify patrols, surveillance, and visibility policing in strategic locations, including worship centres, recreational spots, and major highways.The Zonal Headquarters also advises members of the public to remain law abiding, vigilant, adhere to traffic regulations, and promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police stations or via our emergency numbers.Zone 2 Command wishes everyone a peaceful, joyous, and safe Easter celebration.
