Street-pop singer Portable lost his celebrity boxing rematch against Charles Okocha on Friday after being disqualified for walking out of the ring before the end of the opening round at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The bout, tagged “Unfinished Business,” was organised as a rematch of their controversial first encounter, which Portable had won.

Portable appeared to be in control early on before the fight descended into a wrestling-like scuffle, with the referee struggling to separate both fighters. After the bell ended the round and security personnel intervened to restore order, Portable left the ring, drawing boos from sections of the crowd.Although he later returned, officials ruled that his actions warranted disqualification and awarded victory to Okocha. Before the fight, Portable had expressed hope for a positive outcome, saying: “I am not happy, but I want God to make me happy and my family.”The result marks a dramatic turnaround from their first meeting, where Portable emerged victorious and later insisted he would defeat Okocha again in the rematch.
