The Rolex Dee and Taye Currency saga involves a bitter public fallout and legal dispute between Ibadan-based Fuji musician Taye Currency (Alhaji Taye Adebisi) and his former associate/loyalist, singer Rolex Dee (Afunso Ridwan Abiola). The feud escalated into online accusations, claims of defamation, and Rolex Dee’s subsequent detention by the Oyo State Police Command in late April 2026.The underlying tension stems from a mix of personal loyalty shifts, leaked private communications, and ongoing friction over past controversies—including fallout from the infamous CBEX crypto/Ponzi scheme in 2025 where Taye Currency publicly lamented losing ₦10 million after being introduced to it by associates, and separate disputes involving rival Fuji artist Pasuma.Till date, Rolex dee is still in Police custody, while his dad reportedly d¡£d few days ago.Sowore Intervened for his bail but till October 2026.
