The police prosecutor, Sergeant Sodiq Adeniyi, said, “The offence is punishable under Section 319(1) of the Criminal Code Cap. C16 Laws of Ekiti State 2012.”

Adeniyi asked the court to remand the defendant in order to enable him to forward the duplicate case file to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.

The Chief Magistrate, Kay Williams, who granted the request, remanded Oluwafemi in the Ado Ekiti Custodial Centre.

Williams adjourned the case till November 1, 2021 for mention.
