Confirm News gathered that an officer of the Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA), Isa Jamiu, who was recently killed by a Sienna driver, has been buried yesterday, April 26, 2022.
It was learnt that Jamiu was on duty when he was hit by the driver who was driving against traffic in the Chevron area of Lagos State a few days ago. The officer passed away before he got to the hospital.
According to the report, the hit-and-run driver was given a hot pursuit by a good Samaritan who witnessed the event. The driver was arrested and he is currently in police custody.
The LASTMA officer was buried amid tears and agony at the Okesuna Burial Ground in Lagos Island by family and friends.
The Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on New Media, Jubril Gawat, disclosed this on his Twitter handle.
He said, “Attending the burial of ISSA JAMIU, the @followlastma officer that died recently when he was hit by a Sienna driver passing one way on Chevron side.” Burial at the Okesuna burial ground. Issa, a dedicated & calm officer from our hood, May Allah forgive him and bless his soul.
