Confirm News has it that a Dangote Mixer truck with registration number, KANO MDB 531 XA, has crushed a woman to death in Lagos, this is authoritative.
The incident occurred on Monday, 25 March, 2024, around Abule-Egba inward Mobil Filling Station beside Jubilee Bridge Opposite Zenith Bank, Lagos.
The Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Mr. Adebayo Taofiq confirmed that the trapped female dead body was evacuated underneath the Dangote truck by LASTMA officials and immediately handed over to policemen from Oko-Oba police station.
Investigations revealed that the Dangote Mixer truck while on a high speed lost control as a result of a brake failure and while trying to swerve into a drainage channel crushed the innocent woman to death.
While the truck driver was immediately apprehended by LASTMA officials, policemen from Oko-Oba police station provided security backup while the rescue operations lasted.
LASTMA Abdul Salam Nurudeen (Alpha, Zone 19 Abule-Egba/Tollgate) who led the recovery operations confirmed that his team were supported by other road sympathizers to removed the trapped dead body.
