Serie A club Udinese have praised Super Eagles shot stopper Maduka Okoye after he agreed to extend his contract with the club until the year 2028.
🇳🇬Maduka, who arrived in Friuli in the summer of 2023, earned himself a leading role over the past season, demonstrating a high standard of performance that has made him one of the best performing goalkeepers in the championship,” the club said on their official website.
“His renewal demonstrates his and the club’s desire to continue the journey together with renewed enthusiasm and ambition.”
Coming off the back of an impressive breakout 2023/2024 season, where he saved the “black and whites” from relegation, Maduka has gone on to cement his position as the first choice at the club with 2,010 playing minutes last season.
This extension now ends reports of a possible move to Serie A champions Inter Milan.
