Habib ‘Portable’ Okikiola is seeking Senator Olamilekan Solomon Yayi’s help after his controversial bail was granted yesterday at Isabo, Abeokuta Magistrates Court, Ogun State.

It was already in the news that Magistrates Court sitting in Isabo granted bail to controversial Nigerian singer following his arraignment on charges of assault and obstruction of government officials.

The singer was declared wanted by the state police command on Monday 17th February 2025.

He later surrendered himself to the police at the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department on Wednesday 19th February 2025 and was thereafter transferred to the Ogun State Police Headquarters, Eleweran.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges, according to the court.

His counsel, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, pleaded for bail, assuring the court that Portable “is now remorseful and has learnt his lessons.”

Magistrate O. L. Oke granted the singer bail in the sum of N2m with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until March 5 for trial.

After leaving court premises, he has been beckoning on government officials and politicians to seek help from Senator Yayi to intervene on his matter. That has offended His Excellency, Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State.
