
Kwara State is boiling at the moment over the death of Yetunde Lawal.
Confirm News gathered that Abdulrahman Bello, the killer of Yetunde Lawal, a final-year student of the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, has been sentenced to death.
The killing occurred on February 13, 2025 after Bello and Yetunde met on Facebook and on his invitation she left her friend’s baby’s naming ceremony on that fateful day to visit him at Garage Offa area in Ilorin metropolis.
She ended up being butchered for money ritual purpose, with the tracking of her phone by the police led to the arrest of her killer’s arrest and subsequent prosecution alongside four others.
The latter were on Thursday acquitted by Justice Hannah Ajayi of Kwara State High Court, while Ajayi declared Bello guilty and sentenced him to death by hanging.
