Florence Saraki, the mother of Bukola Saraki, the former senate president has been announced dear hours ago.
The former senate president announced the passing of his mother on Tuesday evening in a post on X.
“With profound sadness and total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, who peacefully transitioned today, Tuesday, June 18th, 2024,” he wrote.
“Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course. We appreciate your love, prayers, and support as we mourn Mama’s passing.”
The late Florence died a few weeks before her 89th birthday.
She celebrated her 87th birthday on August 8, 2022, on Cameron street in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
