Inspite Victor Osimhen good form in Süper Lig for club Galatasaray, scoring 26 goals , his name is not to be found.
Many football lovers have been reacting that perhaps due to the transfer dispute with his former club, Napoli. Osimhen was in a very difficult transfer controversies with Napoli. The Super Eagles striker alleged that Napoli didn’t treat him well while he proposed to join bigger club in the English Premier League .
Though, his transfer was later granted this summer to Galatasary in €75 million move. But the controversy sorounding his move to Galatasary has hindrance his name on Ballon d’Or 2025 nominees.
However, Mohamed Salah, Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappe have been shortlisted as the front-runners for Ballon d’Or 2025 69th edition.
PSG forward Ousmane Dembele is the favorite win his first Ballon d’Or after registering 36 goals and 13 assists across competitions for both club and country. He also won the Champions League and the French league with his team.
Mohamed Salah, Premier League winner with Liverpool, and Raphinha, who won the La Liga title with Barcelona, are some of the other big names on the list.
Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the UEFA Nations League in June, and Lionel Messi of Inter Miami missed out.
The 69th annual ceremony is set for September 22 at the Theatre du Chatelet, in Paris, France.
