A major political rift in Lagos State has been resolved as Seyi Tinubu successfully mediated peace between the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Kehinde Almaroof-Oloyede, and the President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya.
The reconciliation, which took place in Abuja, brought an end to a lingering feud between the two political figures, with both parties agreeing to put aside their differences and work together for the progress of Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large. The peace meeting was attended by key NURTW chieftains and top aides of the council chairman.
Speaking after the accord, Almaroof-Oloyede confirmed that the dispute had been resolved, stating, “The unnecessary bickering has been put behind us. All hands will now be on deck to ensure peace and harmonious relationships in Oshodi-Isolo.”
He further pledged loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and expressed confidence in securing victory for the party in the 2027 general elections, particularly in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The council chairman also commended Seyi Tinubu for his role in resolving the crisis, noting his consistent interventions in fostering unity. He urged political stakeholders in the area to remain committed to mobilising support for the party ahead of the next general elections.
